NOTEBOOK DOODLE part-M

Sometimes it's difficult to decide which spot would be the best placement for ears. In those cases I like to use ALL the spots. Then no one will ever be able to say, "Hey! You don't understand human anatomy!"

  2. Jeff, That's the title of this drawing now: "What? Beg Pardon?"

  3. Hey, this guy could play three part harmony by ear. No?

  4. HA! Maybe even a six part harmony if he had a piano on each side of his head.

  5. One rule I remember to use is that the ears line up pretty much between the eyes and nose. Of course that can go out the window depending on how cartoony or abstract the picture will be. :-)

  7. KW: Brilliant! The placement of ears is one of the ways I ID artists. Folks don't appreciate how a character can completely change by where you place the ears. You have covered all the bases here with one of your typically excellent drawings.

  8. PS: I like the middle position. That really creates a different feel than either the top or bottom positions.

  9. Mykal, Thanks buddy.
If I hold my fingers over the different ears, the middle does look best.
