I FOUND SOME FINGER PUPPETS

At the Hot Topic store in the mall they're selling weird little monster finger puppets. I found two different sets.

There's a zombie set, and a set of strange guys I can't quite figure out. They aren't exactly monsters but they aren't people either. Both sets oddly have six characters each, which is like selling a set of three shoes.
I really like finding little goofy things like this. They put me in the mood to doodle. Lately my home is getting pretty full of junk so I'm not able to get large items anymore. These things are so tiny they blend fairly unnoticeably into a drawer. Also since they aren't famous character products they're really cheap.

  1. I like character #6 in the Non-Zombie Group, he's my kinda scary.

  2. I've racked my brain trying to figure out why six. Here is what I have come up with: I think they sell them in sets of six assuming the user will use three on each hand (the first three fingers minus the pinky). That way, the characters from the entire set can interact. Thoughts?

Also, that one with the blue eyes is terrifying.

  4. Mykal, I think maybe you're on to something with the 2-hand theory. I'm gonna go with that just to satisfy myself.

R/E, I like this cheap stuff too. I like when the junk isn't famous character licensed products.

Lately I've been looking at pet toys. They're usually license-free nicknacks since dogs don't care about famous characters. This frees up the creators to make fun creative stuff, like toys from back in the 50s and 60s.

  6. I actually bought the entire zombie set packaged in a single net bag at a halloween store last year... I'll have to check Hot Topic though for the other ones though which I actually think are cooler-- my kid loves 'em too!

  7. Brad, I'm like you. I didn't think anyone would sell stuff like this anymore. It's like they were designed in the 60s and someone just unearthed the molds.

Yeah, Karswell! Hurry and git over to the Hot Topic before it's too late!
