When I was little I found this in the toy box at my grandma's house. I didn't know who the character was until years later and saw him in a book of Moon Mullins newspaper comics.
The back of the ring says "(C)1964 N. S. C. PRESS SHIELD ON RING PEGS" I've tried to look it up on the internet but can't find out anything about it. It seems like something either from Cracker Jacks or a cereal box prize.
kinda weird that they made the ring flesh tone colored? why would you make a cartoon ring flesh tone? so nobody could see it? i would like to meet the person that made the decision to go with flesh tone....
-"Ya let's go ahead with the flesh tone color, that is my favorite color and the kids will love it!"
Ha ha! That IS a weird color for a ring now that you say it. It's for discerning kids who want people to know how fashionable they are but don't want people to know.
I spend most of my time devising evil plots in my secret villian's lair, underground. I pride myself on my wonderous ability to commit advanced acts of devious and sinister trickery without guilt.

By the way, I didn't think I'd have to say it but it keeps happening.
No one is allowed to use my illustrations without my permission. I like the idea of ME being paid for my work instead of other people.
